Main reasons:

IAX2 does not return correct HANGUP CAUSE codes! So solving interconnection problems between servers can be difficult.

IAX2 can only use 1 thread – that means it can’t handle a lot of calls at one time.

Also:

All received packets go through 1 and only 1 thread because of the way that udp is done and the fact that they are all going to the same port. This means that for reception you can use 1 and only 1 core/cpu.

From a provider point of view this is not good.

If you are running the most up to date build of 3CX version 8, then you need to also update the G7eleven trunk before connecting to our SIP trunk service. Several improvements have been made by the team at 3CX to our predefined settings.

Whilst you may well have been eating Christmas Pudding, and celebrating to roll over to 2010 in style, our engineers have been working on something very cool for our customers…

G7eleven is now running a cluster of VoIP servers in our Dublin Datacentre that can provide your company, small or large, with cheap calls to almost every location in the world. More than that…. We have the ability to manage the SIP traffic end to end if you are connected to certain broadband providers here in Ireland. That means less call breakup, better quality calls, all with G7elevens personal service!

Please call our offices on +353 (61) 576001 or Skype us (g7eleven) for further information and any inquiries!

Hi from the UK! Today the g7eleven team are attending the 3CX training in the UK.

So far, so good! We are here learning about the new features of 3CX version 8.x, the new iPhone look and feel client, the new phone provisioning system etc…

One thing that seems to be being discussed is the whole Quality of Service issue, and the fact that we at g7eleven seem to be less affected than most other 3CX partners. The reason, simple…. we specialise in QOS, router configuration and ensuring our clients always get the proper VoIP configuration. Unfortunately, this does not seem to be the normal! It seems that most 3CX dealers are simply throwing in phone systems and not doing any QOS / TOS tagging and therefore having clients that are getting dropped calls. Obviously not good!

So… remember…. if you want 3CX, decent VoIP quality, and a technically able staff, choose g7eleven!

G7Eleven and Quintum have teamed up to deliver VOIP solutions to your business. We can work with your existing phone system and connect our VOIP trunk lines to the existing PABX in your office at the same time replacing your traditionally expensive Primary and Basic Rate ISDN Lines.

Quintum Tenor DX Series

The Result: G7Eleven can promise your company big savings by eliminating recurring monthly rental of traditional phone lines while also devivering high speed Internet access to your office.

Existing 2, 4, 6 or 8 T1/E1/PRI Spans

Up to 500 VoIP simultanous calls via 3CX

Available in MultiPath or Gateway Configurations

Tenor S (Survivable MultiPath Switch) Offers a Survivable Branch Office VoIP Access Solution for IP PBXs and IP Centrex. Quintum’s Tenor S line is a complete SIP-based VoIP solution for the branch office or for service provider customer premise equipment, providing full survivability in the event that access to the central and/or hosted IP PBX is lost.

Because it delivers a complete solution in a single device – and because it offers such easy, scalable implementation and management – the Tenor S line significantly reduces the total lifecycle cost of VoIP deployment, while optimizing service reliability. Tenor S also offers PSTN connectivity for local access back up and E911 service.
